A glutton for punishment

Becoming a teacher means going to work every day to be completely unappreciated. It means working tons of extra hours trying to figure out ways to help students understand something that they have no interest in trying to understand in the first place. Talking about important things in class when at least 10 of them are talking at the same time and totally not listening. Feeling constantly that you are failing at getting anything in their heads but deep down knowing that the teacher can't do everything, the students have to want to learn too. At this point in the year I see absolutely no positive parts of my job except that I get 2 months away from it in the summer. Obviously I had a bad day.
