Waiting for some snow
Well, my week of APL training is over now so on Monday I have to go back to real school. I definitely enjoyed my time away, but I think I'm ready for kids again. I would just like to take a moment to describe the fact that I'm quite rediculous when it comes to males. Number 1: I become shy and awkward around anyone of interest. Number 2: normally when I actually do talk to them, they run away. Not literally, but you know what I mean. This is probably the reason my parents shouldn't be too hopeful that they'll ever have grandchildren. I hate being shy. Tonight is the first home boy/girl basketball game so I'll be attending that later. Right now I have all my lights off and just my Christmas lights on. It's quite pretty and reminds me of when I'd come into my college room and Nicole would be sitting alone with the lights off and her Christmas lights a blazing. I like taking it in, but not when I'm trying to sleep! Speaking of snow...it's supposed to snow a lot this weekend so I most likely won't end up leaving my house. I'm excited for snow, but not driving in snow!! It's pretty but dangerous. Sometimes I wish I had a dangerous/adventurous bone in my body, but no I'm just a safe, non-risk taker. Boring.

My kids
I think I might be addicted to this whole blogging idea now. Anyway, today I got back to school and realized that I do miss my students. I saw some girls in the hallway and they were terribly excited to see me and gave me a hug. It was so sweet! I had an "I love my job" moment after that. Of course kids are pretty much huge annoyances most of the time, but there are a lot of little shining moments that make it worth the crappy stuff. It's nice to see kids succeed and to have them appriciate just seeing you during the day! Enough with the sappy stuff, today was a good day and the presenter told me I remind her of Nancy Grace. I'm going to have to research if that was a good thing or not. (She said it was a compliment)
Merry Christmas, Merry Christmas, and Happy Holidays!!!!!

My First Blog
Ahhh....I feel so powerful having my own blog! Of course my life is probably one of the most interesting in the world so it's good that I am starting to document it! At the moment I don't have too many stories to tell. This week I've been going to conferences in Sioux City and I actually miss my students. It's kind of strange knowing that they are at school and I'm not there with them. I didn't think I'd miss them, but I do. Stinking kids! :)
